Ignition Poker Summary

The full name of this platform is the Ignition Casino Poker Room, as poker is just one part of Ignition’s offer, which also includes online casino games. However, in this review, I’ll only focus on the poker section.

The platform has been active since 2016, and it’s operated by the PaiWangLuo network and owned by Lynton Limited. It’s available in many countries worldwide, including the US, except for a couple of states. It started in 2004, under the name Bodog, but many changes have since paved the way for Ignition Poker to emerge.

Ignition is widely regarded as one of the most popular online poker platforms in the US market, with excellent traffic and a fair selection of games. Right now, you can play cash games and tournaments that revolve around Texas Hold’em and Omaha, meaning you won’t find other poker variations.

When I landed on the site, I liked the straightforward design. Moreover, I appreciated that I didn’t have to download and install the poker software on my desktop computer. Ignition features browser-based instant-play, but if you still prefer the old way (downloading and installing the software), you can do that as well.

I explored the user interface and played a couple of cash games, which helped me understand how everything works. I was immediately comfortable with the UI, as the platform uses a very basic and standard HUD. Some players would argue that it looks a bit outdated, but I’m happy to report that it does what it needs to do well. In other words, the team behind Ignition Poker likes to keep it simple and fun, and that’s probably why Ignition has been popular for so long.

But looks aren’t everything, and the Ignition Poker platform does a pretty good job under the surface. For example, it offers a lucrative welcome bonus for new players, which I immediately claimed when I joined the site. On top of that, there are a wide array of other promotions to keep you coming back to the platform, and I’ll cover the active ones in this review.

Also, I liked how versatile Ignition Poker is for deposits and withdrawals, as it accepts several popular payment options. What made it stand out from the pack was the option to deposit in cryptocurrencies, with Bitcoin being the most popular option. It seems that Ignition is trying to attract crypto poker players, as there are some very lucrative bonuses for everyone who makes a Bitcoin deposit.

Finally, I tested the customer support, using various methods to contact them, and Ignition proved great once again, as I received quick and helpful answers. In fact, Ignition is one of the few platforms out there to offer phone support that actually works.

Is Ignition Poker Legit?

Ignition Poker is legit. What may make you a bit suspicious is that the platform doesn’t have any information on the license, mainly because it isn’t licensed by an official regulator. On the other hand, it has been around for a long time and has thousands of active players who are generally very happy with Ignition Poker’s service.

Ignition Poker Bonuses & Promotions

Bonuses and promotions are an essential part of Ignition Poker. The platform offers an array of promos for new and regular customers, and I’ll cover some of them in this review. Please bear in mind that I’ll only focus on poker promotions since the platform offers a range of casino bonuses as well, and some are even combined for both poker and casino platforms.

Welcome Bonus

New players who decide to open an account and deposit will receive a match bonus of up to $1,000. It means that the platform will match the amount you deposit with the same amount in bonus money. For instance, if you deposit $200, you’ll receive an additional $200 for playing poker.

The welcome bonus also applies to the casino, meaning you’ll receive a 100% bonus for poker and a separate 100% bonus for the casino. Mind you, the bonuses for the two platforms cannot be used interchangeably.

The welcome bonus is even more lucrative if you decide to deposit Bitcoin. In that case, you’ll get a 150% for poker and a 150% for the casino up to $1,500. Therefore, if you decide to deposit $1,000, you’ll receive a total of $3,000 in bonuses.

How to Register and Claim Your Bonus at Ignition Poker

Opening an account at Ignition Poker is straightforward. Let’s take a look at the entire process.

  1. Click on the link in this review to load Ignition Poker in another tab.

  2. Select the orange Join button to open the registration window.

  3. Fill in the registration by providing your first and last name, date of birth, mobile number, email, password, preferred currency, and ZIP code.

  4. Once you confirm your account go to the banking section and select the welcome bonus.

  5. Pick a deposit method and enter the amount you’d like to deposit.

  6. Confirm your deposit.

No Deposit Bonus

Unfortunately, the platform doesn’t feature a no deposit bonus at the moment. Still, I highly doubt it will ever need one, given that the site already offers a range of lucrative promos and bonuses for new and regular users. However, if your goal is to use a no deposit bonus to test the site, Ignition Poker might not be the best choice for you.

Loyalty Program

The platform features a great loyalty program that rewards the most active and loyal players. Players can collect Ignition Miles (IM) points, earning 15 IM for every $1 paid in rake for cash games and tournaments or 1.5 IM for every $1 spent on buy-ins for Sit & Gos. Once you collect enough IM, you can cash them out for various bonuses.

On top of that, you’ll also collect Tier Miles (TM), which will help you progress through levels in the loyalty scheme. Higher levels yield better benefits, with increased cashback being the main draw.

Other Promotions

The platform features a wide array of other promotions. I suggest you keep an eye on the Promotions section to learn more about the latest offers, as many of them are time-limited.

Therefore, I will not list all of the available promotions for regular customers — just some of the most important ones:

  • Weekly $2,500 Bitcoin Depositor Freeroll – If you’ve deposited in BTC in the past seven days, you’ll have a chance to take part in this tremendous weekly tournament for free.
  • Bad Beat Bonus – If you experience a bad beat, you’ll be able to collect a bonus that’s 100x the amount of the big blind at that moment.
  • Royal Flush Bonus – If you get a royal flush, you’ll receive 50x the big blind up to $200.

Ignition Poker Wagering Requirements

Ignition Poker has no wagering requirements, as that term is mainly used in online casinos. However, you’ll still have to meet some requirements to unlock the bonus. Here’s how it works.

Once you receive the bonus, it will remain locked in your bonus section. As you play poker, you’ll collect Ignition Miles (IM).

Bonus Name Wagering Requirement
Welcome BonusFor every 30 IM you collect, you’ll unlock $1

For example, if you have $100 in your bonus balance, you’ll have to collect 3000 IM to unlock your full bonus. Please remember that you have 30 days to meet the requirements. Once the deadline expires, any remaining bonus funds will be forfeited.

Ignition Poker Payment Methods

It’s no secret that Ignition Poker aims to attract cryptocurrency players, which is why there are several crypto options available, in addition to fiat payment methods. Let’s explore the deposits and withdrawals in detail.

Deposit Options, Fees, Limits

As you can see, there are plenty of deposit options, but one cannot help but notice that Ignition really wants you to use cryptocurrencies. So, what gave it away? Well, it’s the transaction fee for fiat payment methods that starts at 15.9%. This is much more than many other online poker platforms, so if you have crypto, you should proceed with it. If not — try to get it to avoid the enormous transaction fees.

MasterCard$25$1,500Instant

American Express$25$1,500Instant
Zelle$25/Instant

Withdrawal Options, Fees, Limits

It’s pretty much the same for withdrawals. If you want to cash out your funds as fast as possible, you’ll stick to cryptocurrencies. If you decide to use other options, you’ll have to wait much longer and pay huge fees.

Poker Games Available at Ignition poker

Ignition poker has focused on two types of poker — Texas Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha. There are a couple of other options, but there often isn’t enough traffic for them. The platform features all kinds of cash games, tournaments, special events, and more.

Cash Games

Cash games start at $0.02/$0.04 and go up to $10/$20. If you opt to play fixed-limit poker games, the maximum will be $3/$6, and such games are available regularly. You’ll find cash games available round-the-clock, as there are always active players on the site.

Tournaments

Ignition Poker runs guaranteed poker tournaments every hour, meaning you can join the fun almost any time you log in. The largest tournament comes with a guaranteed prize of $100,000, and it takes place every Sunday. Of course, make sure to check out special poker events and contests taking place on the platform to get a chance to play for the big bucks.

Ignition Poker Mobile App

The popular poker platform doesn’t feature a stand-alone mobile app. Instead, you can load the platform in your browser and play that way. The good news is that the site is responsive and optimized for mobile devices, which means you’ll be able to access the platform with no issues and have a smooth experience playing poker cash games and tournaments.

Ignition Poker Customer Support

The platform offers friendly and prompt customer support that you can contact using email, phone, or live chat. In addition to that, there’s an excellent Help section with various details about the site, which I suggest checking out before getting in touch with the support team.

Conclusion — Should I Play at Ignition Poker?

Yes, Ignition Poker is worth it. Even though it doesn’t have an official license, the platform has been around for a long time and has gained the trust of thousands of players. Ignition Poker’s selection of cash games and tournaments might not be the largest in the industry, but it’s still a decent platform that has plenty to offer, especially if you’re into Texas Hold’em and PLO.
