Carbon Poker

CARBON POKER SUCKS AND WE AS A HARD-WORKING AFFILIATES I WILL NEVER FORGET HOW BAD YOU SCREWED NOT JUST ME, BUT MANY OF MY COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS. CHOKE ON A DICK AND PLEASE GO TO HELL. ATIL SINGH, IF YOU’RE STILL ASSOCIATED WITH THEM, SHAME ON YOU BRO.

PAY NO MIND TO THIS REVIEW, IT’S ONLY HERE BECAUSE IT WAS WRITTEN YEARS AGO WHEN THEY WERE AN HONEST OPERATION. THEY ARE TERRIBLE AND STILL BAN WINNING POKER PLAYERS AND SPORTS BETTORS…AND HAVE NO CONSCIENCE WHATSOEVER AS A BUSINESS.

Carbon Poker has been offering online poker to players from all around the world, including those from the United States, since all the way back in 2005. Carbon Poker has remained committed to doing their best to serve players when almost all other sites have ended up being more conservative and dropping out of the game, particularly when it comes to American players.

So when the UIGEA was passed, most online poker sites stopped serving the American market, but Carbon Poker didn’t flinch. They are not located in the United States and therefore did not feel that American laws apply to them at all, which is actually indeed the case.

When the U.S. Department of Justice cracked down on poker sites during Black Friday, they did flinch a bit, and temporarily stopped accepting Americans for a time while they bolstered their operations to not be subject to these risks, but a few months later they reopened their poker site to U.S. residents with the improvements in place that they felt would allow them to continue in this market.

It’s been over two years now since Black Friday and Carbon is still accepting Americans and hasn’t had any real issues so while a lot of players were intimidated by these events and wanted to see how it would all pan out, Carbon Poker has not only survived but flourished over this time.

A lot of Americans do not feel that it is appropriate for their governments to tell them what they can and cannot choose for their entertainment, in spite of what existing law may say about this. It is at the very least an affront upon personal liberty, telling people how to spend their money.

At one time gambling laws were fueled by religious beliefs, that gambling is a sin, and now that governments are themselves promoting it, it’s now more a matter of control, with their wanting to reap the profits themselves by creating monopolies, while at the same time being reserved about the whole matter and therefore failing to serve the market properly.

So this creates a gap, and fortunately we have poker sites still out there like Carbon Poker who see this as an opportunity and have the courage to continue to look to satisfy the demand for their services that still exist. So they currently accept players from most states, although they still do exercise caution and more of it than other sites that allow Americans do, and are selective as far as which states they serve.

Reasons To Play At Carbon Poker

The list of prospective poker rooms has shrunk over the years to just a few now, although I’ve been recommending Carbon Poker long before any of this mess happened, and that’s because they are a good poker site period. Nowadays, if you live in the U.S., some real challenges have emerged as far as moving money to and from poker sites, especially with withdrawals, and quite a few players have been frustrated over the whole matter, longing for the old days where you could do this with ease.

Carbon Poker has worked very hard on making this process as smooth as it can be under the circumstances, this isn’t a big deal at all for players from other countries but for Americans this is perhaps the biggest thing, or at least right up there with the other usual factors that people look at when choosing a poker site, such as reputation, traffic, softness of competition, game selection, and customer service.

So Carbon has made it pretty easy for Americans to deposit at their site, and they boast the easiest deposits for Americans in the industry. When it comes time to withdraw, this is done by check, but they have worked on streamlining this process and have among the fastest turnaround times out there.

As far as the other important stuff goes, the traffic here isn’t anything like we used to be able to access at the big sites, but those big sites are long gone, and there’s only one big site in the world these days though, which is Poker Stars, but we can’t play there anymore of course.

The traffic on the poker network that Carbon is on, the Merge Network, is still very good compared to online poker sites in general, and has been growing steadily for a while now, partly due to more and more Americans getting back into the game and choosing them as their preferred online poker site.

Carbon is the flagship poker room on the Merge Network by the way and it’s the one that we recommend on there, there’s no reason to consider any of the smaller poker rooms on the network by the way.

So the traffic here has moved up to the category of a mid sized poker operation, and this is actually a nice spot to be in, as there is plenty of traffic but not so much as to attract too many of the grinders that you don’t really want to see anyway.

These players are much tougher although their style requires a huge amount of traffic to support the very large amount of tables they need to play at once, and they have pretty much disappeared from the American poker scene since Poker Stars and Full Tilt left, but this has allowed the competition to really soften up at the U.S. friendly sites that remained, which is definitely a good thing for everyone.

Overall, the experience of playing at Carbon Poker is a good one overall, it’s not perfect by any means but no site is really. There is plenty of action, the games are fairly soft, and this is a trusted poker room run by people who really know what they are doing.

I’d like to see them expand their customer service to include live chat like some other poker sites have done, and you have to email them to get help, but the good news is that this is very smoothly run and it’s rare that you will even need help anyway, and they do answer the emails promptly and helpfully.
